Judd papers, 1932-1953.

Summary: Handwritten confession and letters, written to Judd's lawyer as well as four photographs of Judd and lawyers at a 1933 sanity hearing. Letters to her attorney, Howard G. Richardson, describe her treatment at Arizona State Hospital and her ongoing attempts to get out of the hospital. Also present is an article by Judd's brother, written in 1932, which reproduces earlier letters written by Judd to her family. A few newspaper clippings are also present.

Biographical note: Murderer; convicted in 1931 for the murders of Anne LeRoi and Hedvig Samuelson, Judd spent most of her life at the Arizona State Hospital and was finally paroled in 1971.
